Category
Category field is used to set predefined values to your applications.
Toolset field consists of the following four areas;
- Category Settings
- Category Title
- Categories
- Remove Category Field
Category Title
The title default is ‘Category’ but can be changed to represent any text value required
Categories
Adding a Category Option, for example, ‘Review’, ‘Waiting For Approval’, and ‘Approved’ creates pre defined fields in a dropdown in the application.
Type your text in the field ‘Enter a category option’ and press enter and the input text appears above the input field.
To remove a category option, click the ‘X’ at the end of the category option and it will be removed.
Text Settings
The category field has several features that can be accessed by clicking the icon and dropdown arrow located on the left side of the text input field.
WHEN THE SETTINGS ARROW ON THE LEFT IS CLICKED THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE:
Required Text
Ticking the box makes this field required and the form can not be submitted if this field have not been filled in
Always Hidden
Ticking the box hides the field when it is displayed as a spreadsheet
Add Help Text
Clicking ‘Add Help Text’ pops up a box. (insert small image of the Add Help Text Box) The text added appears under the Category input field as an explanation to help users.
Remove Category Field
To remove the Category field from the Toolset Builder, move your mouse to the right and click the ‘X’, the Category field will be removed.
